Simple 3 ingredient protein packed Rice Krispie treats

Author: Deirdre Doyle

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (100g) dark chocolate (you can use milk chocolate too)
  • (2-3cups) 75g Rice Krispies (approx)
  • 2 - 3 tbsp popped quinoa (see how to pop quinoa here)

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate gently. Use the Bain Marie method - melting the chocolate over warm water. Be careful with children when doing this.
  2. Add the Rice Krispies a little at a time. You don’t want too many as they won’t stick together. Add more and stir until each Krispie is well coated in chocolate.
  3. Add the popped quinoa - mix well.
  4. Divide between muffin cases and allow set for 20 minutes.
