These are an excellent snack to eat before you head out trick-or-treating or to have for your dinner on Halloween night! You can make the faces look scary or friendly.
Ingredients
STUFF YOU’LL NEED
- chopping board
- child-safe knife
- paring knife
- bowl
- baking tray
- baking paper
Instructions
FOOD YOU’LL NEED
- 1 or 2 thin sweet potatoes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ketchup for dipping
HOW TO MAKE IT
- Turn the oven on to 180 degrees
- Wash and dry the sweet potatoes but don’t peel them
- Slice them into thin, round slices - these are the faces!
- Using your parking knife, cut out small triangles for eyes and a mouth from each slice.
- Mix the olive oil and smoked paprika in a bowl, and toss the slices in the mixture.
- Pop some baking paper onto your tray.
- Place the faces onto the tray, making sure they are not on top of each other.
- Bake for 10 -15 minutes until soft.
- Carefully remove them from the oven. Serve them straight away with ketchup blood, and maybe mayonnaise to make a spider’s web!
