Easy snacks for kids - courgette pizza bites

This easy, healthy snack for kids is ready in about ten minutes. Get the kids to make these healthy snacks themselves. They will love that they look like mini pizzas but the base is actually made from courgette!

These are a great snack you can make with a 4 year old, a 5 year old or kids of all ages! They are also a healthy snack for adults - I love them myself as a little healthy appetiser!

These easy, healthy snacks can go into the school lunch boxes as well as being great snacks for picnics.

EASY SNACKS FOR KIDS - COURGETTE PIZZA BITES

Ingredients

How to make courgette pizza bites
  • For 3 children (as a snack)
  • 1 large courgette
  • 1-2 tbsp. tomato sauce or tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • pinch of oregano

Instructions

  1. Turn your oven on to 180 degrees
  2. Lay some baking paper on a baking tray.
  3. Cut the top and bottom off the courgette and then cut the courgette into thick rings.
  4. Pop them onto the baking tray and spread with the tomato sauce
  5. Top them with the grated cheese and a pinch of dried oregano
  6. Pop them into the oven for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is bubbling.
  7. Let them cool down a bit before devouring them!
